choir event
Hello There,
Please excuse the email by way of introduction, but I am contacting you in the hope that you may be able to let your choir know about the forthcoming production of Molora, at the Rose Theatre in Kingston.
Molora is a South African adaptation of the Greek Trilogy, the Oresteia and is a powerful and wonderful piece. Please see the links below for the recent review from The Times and a clip of the production on You Tube. The Times said “This is theatre from the gut. I cannot recommend it highly enough.”
Molora features the Chorus of Xhosa tribeswomen, who bring grace and humanity to the drama through their ancient art of ‘split tone‘ singing, adding a haunting intensity to this evocative production. We think that your group would really enjoy this.
Molora will be at the Rose Theatre from 20-24 May, daily at 7.30pm and tickets start at just £7. We do hope that you will join us for this wonderful production.
Very best wishes,
Louise Gilbert

Looking for Musicians for a Charity
Dear Helen,
I am writting to you in request of your support for an upcoming coming charity event (Masti in the Basti) in aid of a slum based project in West India.
Organised by Shanti International, Masti in the Basti is especially aimed at supporting Talimi Haq School based in the Priyamanna Basti of Culcutta, West India. (http://shanti-international.org.uk/index.php/Latest/Welcome.html)
As part of the event we are looking for artists who will be able to entertain our audience of about 180 guests. In particular I was interested in a classical act and a jazz performing artist. Subject to confirmation the act will be amongst a few others including, a stand-up comedian, poetry readings, singing artist, druming artist and a classical sitar performing artist.
The event will be taking place on Saturday 2nd August 2008 from 4pm – 9pm at Archangel bar/club venue in Kensington, London. (http://www.archangelw8.com/)
Further, I would like to think that the aim of this event will be two-fold; to serve as a great platform for artists at to showcase their talent as well as to enrich the lives of hundreds of young children at Talimi Haq School. With your added support I’m sure this event will become to be a truely memorable date.
I very much look forward to hearing from you. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me on 07824511019 or via email.
Thank you.
Yours faithfully,
Kartik Bharadia.
