Juanjo Cura in the Berlin Philarmonic

Invited by Laur Eventmanagement, in november 22, International Music Day, Juanjo Cura will give a performance in the Berlin Philarmonic Chamber Music Hall. The concert will have two parts: tangos and international music, speciallly latinamerican. In avail of this oportunities the production is organising a greater tour in several german cities and the rest of Europe. He will be acompaigned by argentine musicians living abroad, like Javier Tucat Moreno (piano) and Guillermo Destaillats (bandoneón). Paolo Di Cioccio was born in Rome in 1963.

 

After having completed his musical studies at the Conservatory of S. Cecilia in Rome, 1984, he develops an intense artistic activity that brings him to be present in most greater institutions of the whole world ( RAI Symphonic Orchestra, Filarmonica Nacional de Cuba, Camerata de Pacifico, Camerata Esproarte in Portugal, Orchestra Goffredo Petrassi, Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese, Orquesta Sinfonica de Matanzas, Rovereto Mozart Festival, Nuova Consonanza, Arts Academy, Sermoneta International Festival, Colòn Theater in Buenos Aires, Auditorium  Blas Galindo in S. Domingo, Veracruzana University, Xalapa, Dante Alighieri Society in La Plata, Mexico, Auditorium of Bordeaux, Centre Culturel de Saint Medard en Jalles, Berlin Schaulspiel Haus, Dresden, Karl Marx Stadt etc.)

 

He plays as soloist and in chamber groups on cds for BMG RICORDI, SONY, MMM, DOMANI MUSICA, RUSTY, JOKER, VIDEORADIO, RAI TRADE, ERGA, RUGGINENTI etc.

 

He was the first oboist in the world who recorded famous oboe concertos like Albinoni, Vivaldi, Bach with the analog  Doepfer and Moog Synthesizers ( Oboe Sconcerto, Vissi d’oboe, Hautbois ma belle cds)

 

He is oboe professor in the Fausto Torrefranca Conservatorium in Vibo Valentia and ordinary at the Scientia et Ars Polytechnic.

 

Paolo Di Cioccio is actually I° soloist oboe of the Latina Philharmonia Orchestra.

 

He plays a Marigaux oboe.

Song Writing Competitions for Singer and Musicians

You are cordially invited to ‘Festival4stars’ international songwriting competition awards dinner on the 1st of November 2008 at the 5* Grange City Hotel,  8 – 10, Coopers Row, London, EC3N 2BD, United Kingdom.
 
 
Festival4stars is the UK’s largest  talent contest to offer positive written advice to all competitors. Festival4stars runs in 11 regions of the U.K which include Scotland, England, Northern Ireland and Wales.
We travel around the country looking for undiscovered talent and previous winners have gone onto cut albums, sing at the new Wembley Stadium, perform on TV and in Musicals in the West End of London and be picked for roles in leading soaps like Emmerdale and Eastenders, to name just a few of their achievements.
 
Our international songwriting competition offers cash prizes, open to anyone of any age. There are three heats throughout the year! Heat one and two are closed, however heat 3 is still open untill the 10th of September!  so there is still time to enter, if you know of anyone who would like to be entered! The 12 Finalists chosen from thousands of entrants worldwide will perform their songs live, in front of a prestigious panel of judges along with Special Guest Judge, Internationally renowned  Bee Gee’s legend, Robin Gibb! There will also be performances from our previous Festival4stars winners. Robin will present the 4 winners of the competition with their award.

Vibetown are a 6 piece function group who formed at Leeds College of Music In 2005. They are a confident and notably talented unit capable of bringing a warm exciting atmosphere to any venue, party, corporate function or wedding.

Whilst Studying for their Popular Music degrees at Leeds College Of Music, the group found a common passion and foundation for their grooves through Funk, Soul, Rock and Pop and also enjoy the challenge of adding new genres and amalgamations of styles to their repertoire. Individually the members have received numerous awards and achieved outstanding 1st marks for all performance modules. The musicians were handpicked for their virtuosity, versatility and individual flair for instrumental performance, as well as a great personal and professional attitude, in order to establish the right Vibetown.

Vibetown initially started out establishing themselves in the Leeds music scene, cutting their teeth at such prestigious venues as The Wardrobe, The Faversham, Hi-Fi Club and Bar Room Bar amongst others, as well as playing gigs further a field in York, Sheffield and London.

As well as club gigs, the band are becoming increasingly popular in the functions scene, receiving regular bookings for weddings, parties and other private functions.
